Meet the Panelists:

Jenna Richardson, DES
Senior Meetings and Events Manager
Make-A-Wish® America

Jenna is an accomplished meetings and events professional with over 23 years of experience. Her leadership, integrity, and creative energy has lent to her successful career.

After several years of working in healthcare administration, Jenna found her passion for producing events and joined Make-A-Wish America in 1999. As Senior Meetings and Events Manager, Jenna is responsible for the strategy, concept design, learning content and event execution for the national organization. During her 21+ years of serving this incredible organization’s mission …to grant the wish of every eligible child… Jenna has effectively produced a myriad of meetings and events that achieve business objectives while successfully creating memorable experiences for its participants.

Jenna is an active member of PCMA. She has served the Southwest and Pacific chapter as the Treasurer and Chapter President and currently serves as the Immediate-Past President and leads the Marketing Committee. During her tenure she has brought forth and implemented several programs that have taken her chapter in an upward trajectory of providing unique experiences for its members.

Raised in a military family in Chandler, AZ, Jenna enjoys reading, biking, cooking, spending time with her family and spoiling her dog “Jax”. She is an avid “foodie” and loves trying new cuisines and wines.

 

Michelle Ocampo, CMP

Michelle Ocampo is a Senior Conference Planner with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE), the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community to innovate for a better tomorrow through its more than 419,000 members in over 160 countries, and its highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities. IEEE is the trusted “voice” for engineering, computing, and technology information around the globe.

As a Senior Conference Planner for IEEE Computer Society, Michelle oversees a portfolio of twenty international conferences in the field of Computer Science including VR (Virtual Reality), VIS (Visualization), ICDM (Data Mining) and Big Data. Conference average attendance is 200 – 1,000 attendees. Michelle works with volunteer boards and suppliers all over the world to organize conference logistics, such as budgeting, contracting and on-site or virtual management.

 

Theresa Ofstad
President-Elect
PCMA Southwest Pacific Chapter

Theresa is an accomplished and motivated leadership fanatic, with more than 20 years of diversified selling experience in the hospitality and property management industries. After three years of being an Assistant Property Manager, Theresa found herself climbing the ladder in the hospitality industry starting as a Hostess, Catering Manager, then Catering Director of Specialty Restaurants before moving into Hotels as Catering Manager and Sales Manager. For the past eight years she has held the position of Destination Sales Director for Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board. Theresa has helped the organization reach its goal of 50 million visitors two years early and helped the team bring large events like the Superbowl and 2028 Summer Olympics.

Theresa has held several volunteer leadership positions such as PCMA Southwest Pacific Chapter Secretary and current President Elect, Speaking Your Business Toastmaster Club Charter President and current Vice President Membership, PTA President and Secretary.

She is always looking for ways to improve herself and her teams through mastermind classes and inspirational leaders such as John Maxwell, Simon Sinek, Tony Robbins, Wallace D. Wattles and many others. She also enjoys watching her Husband coach, 14-year-old son play basketball, and spoiling her two dogs, “Riley” and “Jacks.” Named after Lakers coaches, of course.

 

Luci Whiteman

The hospitality and customer service seed was planted early when Luci worked at a resort in Myrtle Beach, SC, during college summers. She loved meeting new people while checking them into the resort to start a wonderful vacation.

She began her career in sales with Marriott in Raleigh, N.C., transferring to the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown in 2002, where she handled Association sales in the DC and Chicago markets, as well as the Professional Sports market countrywide. After transferring to Phoenix in 2005, she represented the JW Marriott Desert Ridge, JW Marriott Camelback Inn, JW Marriott Starr Pass and Marriott McDowell Suites.

In 2007, she joined The Ritz-Carlton family and represented The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix for a few years and then The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain.

Next, she was the Director of Association Sales at the Five Diamond – Fairmont Scottsdale Princess for almost 5 years, handling the large group Association and SMERF Markets.

Luci joined the Premier Event Resources team in the summer of 2016. At PER, she identifies and develops relationships with new accounts, assist planners with buying power, hotel site selection, contract negotiations and more.

She loves spending time with her family, traveling, playing sports, being outside, riding bikes, attending sporting events and rooting for the Arizona Coyotes.
